ESL Education

Keene ISD is committed to providing an English as a Second Language (ESL) Program that differentiates and scaffolds instruction across all content areas.  Students will develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in English as they work toward academic proficiency. On our elementary campus, our emergent bilingual students will receive supplementary language support.  Our JH/HS campuses value the inclusion of emergent speakers in general education classes with their native English-speaking peers while providing instructional support.
